Maybe when Scripture talks about heaven, the fulfilment of all things, reconciliation, peace, and everlasting life it is more concerned with how we approach the PRESENT than how we understand the FUTURE.

“…he rescued us from dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves in whom we have redemption.”
Colossians 1:13-14a

“You were dead… [Christ] made us alive… seated in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 2:1,5,6

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here. All this from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…
2Corinthians 5:17-18
