I am casting out demons and performing cures today and tomorrow, and on the third day I finish my work. Yet today, tomorrow, and the next day I must be on my way, because it is impossible for a prophet to be killed outside of Jerusalem. Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often have I desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say, Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
Luke 13:32-35

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28, NRSV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28, NIV

That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Romans 8:28, The Message

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up
John 3:14, ESV

Isaiah's question, Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing? has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ's Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:16, The Message
