Media @ New Hope CalgaryOn stage in this message is Canada’s very own, Leslie Feist. What’s God saying through her life and music?

“It’s an incredible collection of songwriters, and they all push each other,’ he says. “They go to each other’s shows, play on each other’s records, perform with each other at live shows and generally encourage each other to write and get better. It’s quite extraordinary to watch... the music was so joyous.”
Jeffrey Remedios in reference to Broken Social Scene (of which Feist was a part)

“The whole congregation of believers was united as one—one heart, one mind! They didn't even claim ownership of their own possessions. No one said, "That's mine; you can't have it." They shared everything. The apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Master Jesus, and grace was on all of them. And so it turned out that not a person among them was needy. Those who owned fields or houses sold them and brought the price of the sale to the apostles and made an offering of it. The apostles then distributed it
according to each person's need.”
The Apostle Luke in reference to the early church in Acts 4:32-35, MSG

“God’s splendour becomes clearer whenever God or the Son of God powerfully spends himself in order to cause others to flourish... according to God’s intelligence, the way to thrive is to help others to thrive; the way to floursh is to cause others to flourish; the way to fulfill yourself is to spend yourself.”
Dr. N. Plantinga, Engaging God’s World, p20,22

“I feel it all, I feel it all, I feel it all, I feel it all
The wings are wide, the wings are wide
Wild card in sight, wild card in sight”
Feist in, “I feel it all”

How many musicians can say that they got a sermon about them? And not just pastors condemning the Dead Kennedy's and Iron Maiden for corrupting youth. That was cool.

I have to admit, I'm not a religious person, but that guy who sent the e-mail was reading my thoughts. Feist seems to me like one of the coolest persons on this planet, and through her I've discovered a lot of music I am now a fan of. Part of the attraction is her personality, she has such good energy, and she is just SO COOL. There's no other way to describe it. But not only her, her entire music community blows my mind... I love how they all collaborate with each other.
