Calgary, City of Blinding Lights November 30, 2010 Weak people tend to dislike Calgary because it is a city of many oppourtunities and very few handouts. You welfare sucking types do better in BC. AMonsterUndertheBed

Anger and Metallica November 26, 2010 I just saw the video where you preach talking about Metallica " The day Metallica came to church " and that was amazing, you totally spoke my mind there.. and I´ve seen Metallica live 6 times and know all their lyrics. The lyrics are just perfect. 1642poltergeist
In your eyes - Peter Gabriel's Parable November 24, 2010 Oh, my GOSH!!!!! If you listen to Solsbury Hill, you will KNOW how Spiritual he is!!!!!! And........if you watch him singing it on stage and watch the crowd's reaction, you will FEEL how Spiritual he is!!!!!!!
Why did a timeless God create time? November 23, 2010 I like the question. Assume, for the moment, that time is not an illusion. One of the constants of time is change. Catholic theology teaches that the next world is perfect. That, by definition, means immutable (a.k.a. unchanging). Hence, if you go to Heaven or hell, that's where you stay. It also helps explain why ghosts seem to repeat their actions over and over. They are stuck. They cannot change. Time allowed a paradox. By dying, Jesus, a.k.a. God, changed. HnFLabs

The God of all Neurons November 22, 2010 This stuff is for answering the "what" "why" and "how", not the "who" though. "Who" is the the question we leave for the theologians and philosophers to mull over. Greasyclean
An Unfair God November 19, 2010 Even as an atheist, I enjoyed this sermon. I think the first being last theme we find throughout the Bible (i.e. the Prodigal Son) is meant to be a message about God's mercy and forgiveness to ALL. It implies that works alone do NOT override faith....i.e. the Gentiles ALSO receive redemption. The contradiction here, however, is that non believers (or u could call us...those who don't work) do NOT get to be first but r punished forever in Hell. This destroys the mercy and forgiveness of God. julzabro
The God of all Neurons November 19, 2010 i think thats a question a lot of people have asked themselves, certainly when you can appreciate the sheer complexity of it all. Personally, studying molecular neurobiology has made me an atheist. At first you think that something that complex could never arise spontaneously, then when u start playing around in a lab you can see how there is no rhyme and reason to the way biology works. There in so no doubt in my mind that no 'guy in a cloud' snapped his fingers and created us http://www.youtube.com/user/Trip86able
Neil Young - God's Prophet? November 15, 2010 This makes perfect sense to me. But I feel like this about a lot of popular musicians and songwriters. If you can see and hear God in everything around you, you can begin to divorce the 'religion' from our faith, thus purifying it. Good job, John.....and great job, Neil. NuJazzPhilosophy1
Gospel of John, chapter 1 November 14, 2010 Whats so crazy to me is that Jesus is called the only begotten son of God meaning procreation so that indicate that Jesus Christ was created Jehovah was not created he been here form time indefinte Jehovah revealing himself as flesh means that Jesus was not a created being when in colossians 1:15 says who is the image of the invisible God firstborn over all creation.
Anger and Metallica November 14, 2010 i would never try to push any of my ideas and thoughts onto anybody else but i would like to say that if more people would open there eyes and ears and close there mouths they just might experience greatness in ALL things. I have yet to read the book (except for the online chapter, but i have watched the videos and i must say that it is truely refreshing! i for one was done with the dogmatic religions long ago!
Regina Spektor - laughing with God November 13, 2010 I'm fairly sure the whole song is about No one is Laughing at god when your life is falling apart because if there is a god who would be destroying your life?
Where the Wild Things Are November 12, 2010 Very interesting commentary on this film, but my question would be what happened to the Queen? For most kings, he would be lonely with a queen. Where does she ever come into the picture and be recognized? I know Jesus maybe didn't have a queen, only a Father in Heaven, but I think that something is missing for me in that regard. Thanks for your teachings nonetheless.
The God of all Neurons November 06, 2010 What can neurons teach us about life? They teaches us that all of life - including affection, thought, and mimicry - is constituted by complex chains of chemical reactions. Neurons don't "want" to form dendritic spines. They do so because they're physical, molecular composites obeying the laws of physics. In the same way as our neurons, we humans act and react according to disinterested, sub-personal, physical forces. keapponlaffin
Anger and Metallica November 02, 2010 Dude, St. Anger is not about god being mad and them agreeing..its about how they went through drugs and bad sh** like that and now they're venting. Most of their songs are not good...they're about death like most metal...blackened is the end of the world..fight fire with fire is nuclear warfare...and how is this connecting to god?? MrBobbyjoe5
