Jesus and the joy of drinking
    January 29, 2011
In John 1 say that in the beggining was the word...(Jesus) So jesus is not only the word he is the law. He also say that he came to fullfill the law. Now if this is true why would he teach that strong drink is a mocker and cursed is he that gives his neighbor strong drink. Their is a conflict here. So if he says that you should not give strong drink to your neighbor yet he gives strong drink to people at cana then he would be a liar and the truth would not be in him.

Jesus and the joy of drinking
    January 29, 2011
Bible says we cannot serve God and mammon (self-world) at same time......besides why would a Christian want to become a stumbling block to other Christians and to the lost. When we are saved....we are no longer OF THIS WORLD...BUT IN THE WORLD....we become missionaries for Christ.

Jesus and the joy of drinking
    January 27, 2011
i pray that god takes your ministry from u if you teach that drinking is ok. To make a claim that Jesus used alcohol as a token of his blood is insane. If jesus made real alcohol at canan then he would have contribute to someone drunkiness, in return sending them to hell. The bible is very clear about looking on the wine once it moves in its cup(ferments) Big no no.

    On Fox Radio
    January 14, 2011
    Hi Paster John,
I'm in Vancouver driving (bus to UBC) for BC Transit today and came across the Fox 99.9fm. I was scanning to my Christian radio station of 106.5 Praise FM. I can't believe I heard you on a super secular radio station as the Fox. You must have some super prayer warriers bending Gods ear to get there.
I have never heard any friendly comments from any station like these before.
    Keep up the good work.
Whatever it takes, however it takes, get the message out. Many crowns await those who can reach the unreached like your doing.
    God richly Bless,
    Ray M.
ps: from a conservative Baptist, okay! not so conservative!

    Jan. 15/11
    Hey Ray,
Thanks for the note. God's given us many opportinities to speak on all of his radio stations (CBC, and more). It's something we're thankful for and need to be careful in stewarding.

The Day Metallica Came to Church - Ufonic Interview
    January 13, 2011
I agree that Metallica makes a connection to me, and most likely loads of metallica fans. And I'll agree that Metallica mention religion in thier lyrics (not always intentionally though) and of course giver James' background, it's going to be an influence. however, I don't think metallica are preachers or trying to spread the word of the bible really. People connect with Nothing Else Matters, but I doubt they cry out to God during that song...

The Day Metallica Came to Church - Ufonic Interview
    January 12, 2011
Implying that he and his wife were on the floor. First off, lucky guy because I was at that concert and those tickets were very expensive. Second off, did he not notice the people throwing and shoving each other around in the pit? He says he was right by the stage he would have been hit. Thirdly when that song came on if I were to ask people after the show if they were crying out to god during that song I guarantee 99 outta 100 would've said get the **** outta here.

The Day Metallica Came to Church - Ufonic Interview
    January 12, 2011
Another preacher only hearing what he wants to hear. He clearly doesn't understand Metallica and wants to exploit their words to somehow reinforce the bible. "He made this, he made that" He made everything so it's still his fault we have sin so stop blaming everybody for how dangerous your god made reality. He made black widows and jelly fish so congrats? I'm really curious how his sermon of Deicide or Bad Religion would go.

Metallica has used the bible more than once to indict itself. "The Four Horsemen", "Creeping Death" and "The Judas Kiss" most prominently.

    Calgary, City of Blinding Lights
    December 18, 2010
Way to completely use the song out of context. City of Blinding Lights is a tribute to the people of New York in the aftermath of September 11th.
    bartscheller

    @bartscheller
There is no way to compare Calgary to New York, what the people there suffered was terrible and we mean no offence. All cities have their problems and people who live there can be hurt in many ways, Calgary is no exception.

God's hands-on truth in Glass Blowing
    December 15, 2010
i find an extremely close connection to spirituality when i blow glass. the very fundamental nature of reality is putty in our hands as glass artists. We get to take this fundamentally unstable mineral mix and use the very rules of nature to create an abstracted thought into reality. I'm not religious in any sense of the word, but I do believe in God, and I can very much feel his presence when I'm working. We get to work in teams to create beautiful things, many of which are very useful.

theres a virgining new field?? did this virgin mean emerging?
    TheENERGYartist

Pastor John says it may sound like "virgining" but he did say "burgeoning"

burgeoning - present participle of bur·geon (Verb)1. Begin to grow or increase rapidly; flourish: "manufacturers are keen to cash in on the burgeoning demand".

God's Gift of Canadian Olympic Hockey
    December 13, 2010
God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. God speaking to human beings (us) in Genesis 1:28, NIV

In Genesis 1:28 man has not sinned yet. Thus the most important thing to do then is the cultural mandate. If man has not sinned then that would still be the most important thing to do till now.

But after man sinned, things have changed. The most important thing now is REDEMPTION i.e restoration of man's heart and relationship to God.

other type of energy that exist in our brain, same one that guides this universe, and what I mean guides is that is in charge of time, space, and how everything works. I know it exist, I just had a vision of it the other day and it made perfect sense to me, but now is gone, and I can't remember exactly what it is...
