Why did a timeless God create time? April 10, 2012 Stumble and fall the truth stands tall/reclaim the salty character of time and the covenant identity to be a light with the memory of exodus still on the lips and the flight to a desert wilderness as a refreshing gift/reorientation for the journey ahead/we are not the center of the universe jake bosch
Christmas Eve 2009 April 10, 2012 Incarnate the bread and the wine and eat and drink the bond of covenant love – walk the Pentecost - salt the daily walk - the creation groans with a pot of stew – covenantal autism has become the norm and swallowed us up whole - we are Dick and Jane and a dog named Spot all over again. jake bosch
Jesus and the joy of drinking April 09, 2012 Righteousness is the landscape and the cultivation is a mustard seed at home in a place called church but nurtured in the mess of the neighbourhood and meet the stranger in their nesting place, trusting a heritage of grace and a quiet wind to stand in the fray with more than conquers in the city square jake bosch
The Power of Positive Psychology? April 08, 2012 A seed must die before it sprouts new growth and not only that - the first shall be last says the liturgy of God and as the narrative goes you go out into the world as white as snow. 247jubilee
Why did a timeless God create time? April 03, 2012 If God is timeless, that means that there could be 0 time delay between his will to create the universe and the universe actually existing because time wouldn't exist. However, if God is timeless that means he always must have had the will to create the universe, if he didn't, that means there are two points of time being indicated:
T1: God didn't have the will to create the universe
T2 God did have the will.
The idea of God having the "will" to create the universe implies time between the will and the creation, if there was no time between the will and the creation, and the will always existed then the universe would be eternal.
If the universe requires an external cause, it was most likely a spontaneous non-sentient timeless external cause (assuming time began at The Big Bang) because this cuts out the "will" which in turn, cuts out the problem of time implications in a timeless domain. theBartone9119
Love - The Power of Positive Psychology? March 29, 2012 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
I love this one! thanks! MarieCutie16
Jesus and the joy of drinking March 27, 2012 The Bible makes it clear what God thinks of alcohol. As for the story of Jesus
turning water into wine, the word "wine" was used, in the KJV, atleast, to
describe fermented and non-fermented juice. Therefore you find out what root
word it came from in the passage at hand. In the water to wine story, it was
non-fermented, which only makes sense, as the Bible condemns alcohol. We live
in a world where most ppl die and go to Hell. Your messages dilute the power
of God in the minds of your audience. Tommyboy2107
Jesus and the joy of drinking March 26, 2012 Absurd, what ever happened to "transformed, not conformed"? Stop trying to
please your tithes payers and do what god leads you to! The bible you says
will have "new wine"-the holy ghost, not wine. Mrnayr5555
Lauryn Hill - I gotta find peace of mind March 22, 2012 Everytime I listen to that song and that particular part "Please come free my mind" I journey into another place and the tears just start pouring, even thinking about it makes me cry..The most powerful song I have ever heard dahighbar
I've got a Friend Who - Doesn't need God March 18, 2012 The word church comes from the Greek belief in the goddess Circe. Circe would invite people into her home and brainwash them and turn them into helpless animals. Today we see the very same thing happening to the people who go to church today, they get brainwashed by the church, give over their money their whole selves, just like the goddess Circe cult back in Greece 1000 s of years ago. So I guess nothing has change with the church it will always be there to rob your mind, wallet and soul.
Jesus and the joy of drinking - part 1 March 15, 2012 Parrishtucky1,
Jesus made and drank real wine...not grape juice. We have the ability to stop or control fermentation with modern technology. Back in those days any fruit juice had to be consumed right away or else the naturally occurring yeast on the fruit starts the fermentation process almost immediately - especially in a warm climate. Jesus didn't speak about bursting wineskins for nothing...grape juice would never do that, only fermenting wine. One of the reasons why ancient people made wine was because it was a way of preserving fruit juice.
God gives us all these gifts along with food, plants with pharmaceutical properties....all of which can also be abused in the most horrific of ways. Odin
God, Reconciliation and How to Train your Dragon March 14, 2012 @3adhmihaykel That depends on how you interpret the film :) Satan does indeed take on the form of a dragon, but think of it this way: the large dragon that is killed at the end of the film is Satan, while the other dragons represent gentiles/non-christians. It is our duty as Christians to "train" them in the ways of Christ so that they will not remain captive to evil dragon.
This video was very enlightning :) It's amazing that this film can been seen as an allegory, even if it is secular. HerosMark777
The God of all Neurons March 13, 2012 Uh, no. Dendritic branches are pruned so every branch that doesn't bear fruit may be pruned...but chances are if it's traumatic it's not pruned because for better or worse that's how many people learn. Furhter more "when the bough breaks" is an important thing to remember. What happens to those branches? Don't really get very far and in particular according to a well respected quantum physics professor if "you wish upon a star" then forget about it you just might find your bundle of bliss. Why do you drink? March 12, 2012 About time the truth is reveled. I am a Follower of Christ and a home brewer
of wine and beer. I do all of my experience at home. Once in awhile at a local brew house. Not a tavern watering hole. homebrewer7
Alicia Keys; No One March 04, 2012 LIZAZOON...... You want God's protection, provision, and blessing, but NOT His
laws and statutes...(????). We can say "God bless you" when someone sneezes or
"God bless America" when we experience tragedy, but we CANNOT pray in public
venues (schools), and we are so blood thirsty to end the life of the unborn in
the womb... (????) You think we've seen tragedy??? These are just warning
signs for us to repent and turn back to Him as a nation and embrace His laws
and statutes... sully720hd
Alicia Keys; No One March 02, 2012 God created polio, science cured it. God created small pox, science cured it. God created leprosy, science cured it. God created 2.million different illnesses, science has found cures for many. God created infertility, science invented IN-VITRO and an estimated 15 million new lives. God`s life averaged 45 years, science extended it to 75. 100.000 innocent children died in Haiti suffocating beneath the rubble. This ALLMIGHTY god, didn`t lift a finger to help.Praise be to god !!
